In Ontario, a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) is a regulated mental health professional, regulated by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), who provides psychotherapy services and must meet specific educational and experience requirements, including passing a registration exam.

Barry completed his M.A. in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. In addition to this, he holds a B.Sc Honours degree from Dublin Institute of Technology.

Using a client-centred and psychodynamic approach to therapy, Barry enjoys being with people, hearing their stories and joining alongside them as they seek greater healing and wholeness for their lives and relationships.

Barry supports his clients using a variety of different modalities that are uniquely applied based on the presenting challenges that clients come in with. Barry’s foundation of care stem’s from psychodynamic theory as he is interested in exploring the root of a clients challenges. He can then apply appropriate modalities to his treatment plans such as (CBT) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapies, and EMDR. Apart from specific modalities Barry incorporates into his work, he takes time to listen, and allow his clients to use the therapy room as a space to experience their emotions, and consider lifestyle changes that may work to improve their mental health and quality of life.
